Neusiedler See is located about an hour away from Vienna and is easily accessible by both car and train. The nearest train station is in Neusiedl am See, from where you can take bus line 290 and reach Podersdorf in a little over 20 minutes.
When driving to the lake by car, it's best to set your GPS to "Nord-Nord Strand". This will lead you directly to the parking lot in front of the kite spot. Parking is free during the daytime. After 8:00 pm, you will need to purchase a parking ticket for 15 €, which also allows overnight parking at this lot. Tickets are available at the parking machine.
The kite spots (Nord & Nord-Nord) are located within the "Strandbad". This area requires an entrance fee during the season, and you can purchase tickets at the ticket counter at "Nord Strand" or online (advantage: online tickets are valid as early as 6:00 in the morning). A regular day ticket currently costs around 9 €. If you have the Burgenland Card, because you are staying at the campground or at another partner accommodation, the entrance is free. You can enter either through the entrance at the North Beach or through the turnstile at "Nord-Nord Strand". Please keep your ticket safe – you will need it again on your way out.
ATTENTION! When kitesurfing in Podersdorf am See, wearing an official lycra is mandatory. This must be purchased for a one-time fee of 15 €. If you are a customer (student or renter) of our Duotone Pro Center, you do have to pay the entry fee, but you will receive a lycra from us.
